Professional Invitation Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies only to SpyList’s professional invitation and recognition confirmation process.
This policy applies to payments made by selected professionals or businesses for confirmed recognition tiers, profile preparation, editorial story preparation, video preparation, recognition assets, publication planning, and related edition work.
1. Important Payment Safety Notice
SpyList accepts payment only through its official SpyList account by bank transfer, IMPS, NEFT, or UPI.
SpyList does not accept payment to personal accounts, individual names, unofficial accounts, unrelated business accounts, or unverified payment channels.
Any payment made outside official SpyList communication may not be treated as a valid SpyList payment.
2. No Automatic Refund After Interest Confirmation
Submitting interest does not require payment by itself.
Payment becomes relevant only after SpyList communicates official confirmation steps and payment instructions through verified SpyList communication.
A payment does not automatically guarantee publication unless all confirmation, content, editorial, payment, and launch requirements are completed.
3. Refund Before Work Begins
A refund request may be considered only if the professional informs SpyList in writing before SpyList receives required documents/content and before SpyList starts profile preparation, editorial preparation, production work, video editing, recognition asset preparation, or launch planning work connected to that professional.
Refund requests must be sent to: official@spylist.in.
The request must include professional name, invitation ID, payment date, payment amount, transaction reference, and reason for refund request.
4. No Refund After Work Begins
Once SpyList has started profile preparation, editorial writing, content review, video preparation, video editing, recognition asset preparation, design work, production planning, or edition launch preparation for the professional, the payment becomes non-refundable.
This is because SpyList’s work involves customised editorial, production, review, preparation, and edition planning work for one selected name.
5. No Refund for Professional Delay or Non-Submission
No refund will be provided where delay, non-publication, pause, or cancellation is caused by late content submission, incomplete documents, poor quality footage, failure to follow video guidelines, non-response, repeated approval delays, inaccurate information, failure to approve final materials, failure to pay balance amount, late balance payment, or failure to provide required details requested by SpyList.
6. Content Quality and Resubmission
If submitted footage, photos, or information are unsuitable, incomplete, unclear, poor quality, misleading, legally risky, or not aligned with SpyList guidelines, SpyList may request resubmission.
A request for resubmission does not create refund eligibility if work has already started.
7. Split Payment and Balance Payment
Split payment is available only on request and only if approved by SpyList through official confirmation communication.
If split payment is approved, SpyList will specify the advance amount, balance amount, due date, and payment conditions.
Failure to pay the balance amount before the required due date may result in delay, pause, withdrawal, or non-publication. Amounts already paid may not be refundable once work has started.
8. Launch Delay
SpyList’s edition launch may depend on category coverage, content readiness, production schedule, technical readiness, editorial approval, and platform planning.
A launch delay does not automatically qualify for refund if SpyList has already started or completed work related to the professional’s profile, content, video, recognition assets, or edition preparation.
Where delays are caused by SpyList for operational reasons, SpyList may offer revised timelines, continued preparation, adjusted publishing order, or other reasonable solution at its discretion.
9. SpyList Withdrawal Before Work Begins
If SpyList withdraws or rejects a paid confirmation before any professional-specific work begins, SpyList may provide a refund of the amount received, subject to payment gateway, banking, tax, accounting, and deduction rules where applicable.
If work has already started, refund eligibility may be reduced or unavailable depending on the stage of work completed.
10. Policy Violation or Misrepresentation
No refund will be provided if SpyList pauses, removes, rejects, or cancels a profile due to false information, misleading claims, reputation risk, legal risk, content rights issue, abusive communication, payment issue, misuse of SpyList name, unauthorised title use, or violation of SpyList Terms.
11. Accepted Refund Processing Timeline
If a refund request is accepted by SpyList, SpyList will aim to process the refund within 7 to 15 business days from written approval of the refund request, subject to bank processing time, payment mode, holidays, technical issues, and verification requirements.
Refunds will normally be processed back to the original payment source or another verified account approved by SpyList.
12. Deductions
Where applicable, refunds may be subject to deductions for payment gateway charges, bank charges, taxes already paid or payable, administrative costs, work already completed, or other legally permissible deductions.
SpyList will communicate applicable deductions where relevant.
13. Taxes
Taxes, including GST, will be applied if and when legally applicable.
If taxes have been charged and already reported or paid under applicable law, refund treatment may depend on applicable tax rules, invoice status, credit note eligibility, and accounting requirements.
14. No Guarantee of Business Results
SpyList does not guarantee customers, leads, enquiries, sales, ranking, reputation improvement, audience response, search visibility, or business growth.
Refunds will not be issued merely because the professional expected more enquiries, customers, engagement, visibility, ranking, or sales.
