Professional Invitation Terms

These Professional Invitation Terms apply only to the private SpyList professional invitation system available at /professional/, /professional/confirm-interest/, and related professional invitation pages.

These Terms are separate from the public audience-facing SpyList website. These Terms apply to selected professionals, businesses, representatives, and title holders who access a private SpyList invitation, confirm interest, submit information, select a recognition tier, provide content, or proceed with official confirmation.

By accessing the professional invitation page, entering a SpyList Invitation ID, confirming interest, submitting details, selecting a recognition tier, making payment, or providing content to SpyList, you agree to these Terms.

1. About SpyList Professional Invitations

SpyList operates a private recognition and presentation platform under The City Standard.

SpyList identifies and presents selected professionals or businesses by category and city as part of a city edition. SpyList is not a directory, listing marketplace, public voting platform, award contest, customer lead service, ranking system, or guaranteed business generation service.

A private invitation means that a professional or business has reached a review or shortlist stage. It does not mean final recognition, final title confirmation, guaranteed publication, or guaranteed inclusion in an edition.

Final confirmation happens only after SpyList review, SpyList acceptance, tier confirmation, required payment terms, payment verification, content readiness, editorial suitability, and official confirmation through verified SpyList communication.

2. Private Invitation and Access Code

Each invitation is issued through a private SpyList Invitation ID or access code.

The invitation is intended only for the invited professional, business, or authorised representative. The recipient must not misuse, share, sell, transfer, publicly publish, or manipulate the invitation code.

SpyList may disable or withdraw access if it detects misuse, unauthorised sharing, false information, suspicious activity, non-response, delay, or conduct inconsistent with SpyList standards.

3. Confirmation of Interest

Submitting the Confirm Interest form does not create final recognition or final title ownership.

Interest confirmation only moves the invited profile into SpyList’s official confirmation process. SpyList may review the submitted details, category suitability, public presence, content readiness, communication behaviour, selected tier, payment status, and edition requirements before issuing final confirmation.

SpyList may accept, pause, reject, withdraw, or delay confirmation where necessary.

4. No Automatic Right to Recognition

A professional invitation does not guarantee final recognition, final title confirmation, publication, public profile launch, video publication, social media posting, customer enquiries, leads, sales, clients, ranking, search visibility, audience response, public reputation improvement, or future opportunities.

SpyList is a recognition and presentation platform. It does not guarantee business results.

5. 48-Hour Invitation Window

Where a 48-hour invitation window is shown, the invited category position is temporarily held for the invited professional or business during that period.

If the invitation is ignored, not completed, delayed, expired, or not officially confirmed, SpyList may continue its review and may bring the same category position forward to another shortlisted name.

SpyList may extend, reduce, pause, or close an invitation window at its discretion depending on category readiness, edition planning, communication status, or operational needs.

6. Recognition Tiers

SpyList may offer recognition tiers such as Profile Edition, Feature Edition, and Signature Edition.

Each tier may include different levels of profile depth, editorial story, video preparation, publishing scope, recognition assets, social content, and production attention. The exact inclusions are subject to the tier selected, SpyList confirmation, content readiness, editorial suitability, and production schedule.

Tier selection during interest confirmation is not final until accepted by SpyList through verified communication.

7. Payment Terms

Payment details are shared only after interest is confirmed through verified SpyList communication.

SpyList accepts payment only through its official SpyList account by bank transfer, IMPS, NEFT, or UPI. SpyList does not accept payment to any personal account, unrelated account, individual name, or unofficial payment channel.

Professionals must not make payment based on screenshots, forwarded messages, personal account requests, or unverified communication.

SpyList may issue a receipt or invoice after payment verification.

Taxes, including GST, will be added if and when legally applicable. If SpyList becomes required to charge GST or any other applicable tax under Indian law, the payable amount may include such tax in addition to the tier amount.

8. Split Payment

Split payment is not automatic.

Split payment may be considered only on request, with a valid reason, and only if approved by SpyList through official confirmation communication.

Where split payment is approved, SpyList will specify the advance amount, balance amount, payment due date, and payment conditions through verified communication. The final balance must be paid before publishing, launch, public release, or final activation, unless SpyList confirms otherwise in writing.

Failure to pay the balance amount within the required timeline may result in delay, pause, withdrawal, non-publication, or cancellation of confirmation.

9. Content Submission

The professional or business must submit the content requested by SpyList, including photos, raw video footage, business details, profile information, contact details, website links, social links, Google profile details, certificates where necessary, and other relevant materials.

SpyList will provide content submission and video guidelines separately after official confirmation. These guidelines may be shared within approximately 10 to 15 days after official confirmation, depending on category, tier, and edition schedule.

The submitted content must be accurate, original, suitable, and free from misleading claims, prohibited language, unauthorised branding, music, logos, text overlays, or third-party material unless specifically approved by SpyList.

10. Video and Media Guidelines

SpyList does not guarantee professional shooting services unless separately confirmed.

The professional or business is responsible for submitting required raw video footage and content according to SpyList guidelines.

SpyList may edit, crop, arrange, subtitle, caption, brand, shorten, reject, request resubmission, or adapt submitted footage for website, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Shorts, Reels, or other suitable publishing formats.

SpyList may add SpyList branding, The City Standard title, edition name, category identity, captions, title frames, overlays, callouts, disclaimers, sponsor marks, or other production elements where suitable.

SpyList may remove or avoid any content that contains banned words, unsafe claims, comparison with other professionals or businesses, defamatory statements, misleading claims, unverifiable promises, prohibited material, or content unsuitable for the edition.

11. Editorial Control

SpyList has final editorial control over profile wording, layout, title display, category wording, city wording, editorial story, captions, video edits, sequence, thumbnails, images, profile sections, publishing format, publishing date, and launch schedule.

Professionals may be allowed to review certain profile or video elements before publishing, but final editorial decisions remain with SpyList.

Delay in approval, non-response, repeated corrections, incomplete content, or failure to provide required materials may delay or affect publication.

12. Accuracy of Information

The professional or business is responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, lawful, not misleading, and suitable for public presentation.

SpyList may request clarification, correction, proof, certificates, public links, or additional information before accepting, publishing, or continuing a profile.

If any submitted information is false, misleading, legally risky, disputed, or unsuitable, SpyList may edit, pause, reject, withdraw, or remove the profile.

13. Use of Name, Image, Business Identity, and Content

By submitting content to SpyList, the professional or business gives SpyList permission to use the submitted name, business name, photos, videos, profile information, service details, public links, category identity, and related materials for preparing, editing, publishing, promoting, presenting, and maintaining the confirmed recognition profile and related edition content.

This permission applies to SpyList website pages, The City Standard edition pages, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Shorts, Reels, digital materials, recognition assets, and other official SpyList communication where suitable.

14. Publication and Launch

Publication depends on content readiness, category readiness, editorial review, payment verification, production schedule, platform readiness, and edition launch planning.

SpyList may publish profiles in phases. SpyList may delay, reschedule, pause, or rearrange publication based on edition requirements.

A planned launch timeline is an aim, not a legal guarantee. Delay caused by incomplete content, late approval, poor footage, non-response, payment delay, technical issues, platform issues, or category readiness does not automatically create refund rights.

15. Removal, Pause, or Withdrawal

SpyList may pause, remove, edit, or withdraw a profile, video, recognition asset, title display, or edition inclusion if information is false or misleading, payment is incomplete, content rights are unclear, legal risk arises, reputation risk arises, the professional becomes unsuitable, communication fails, required content is not provided, the professional violates these Terms, or SpyList determines that continued publication is not suitable.

16. Title Usage

The recognition title is connected to the relevant city, category, edition, and confirmation terms.

A title may be used only after official confirmation by SpyList. The title must not be used in a misleading way, altered form, false claim, paid advertisement claim, award claim, winner claim, No.1 claim, or guarantee claim.

SpyList may issue separate title usage guidelines.

17. No Prohibited Claims

Professionals must not represent SpyList recognition as an award, contest win, No.1 ranking, government certification, public vote result, legal endorsement, guaranteed business source, guaranteed lead generator, guaranteed sales channel, or proof of being the best in the market.

SpyList recognition means that SpyList has selected and brought forward a professional or business for presentation within a city edition, subject to SpyList standards and policies.

18. Communication

Official communication will be through verified SpyList channels only.

Professionals should contact SpyList only through the official email: official@spylist.in.

SpyList will never ask for payment to any personal account.

19. Changes to Terms

SpyList may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the professional invitation system after updates means acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law, disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts or competent forums in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
